been centered around South Florida. Jim graduated from the University of Michigan
in 1969 where he was an "All American Tight End" for the Wolverines.
He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the first round and played eight seasons

Since his early days in South Florida, Mandich has been drawn to the Florida

in the Keys and he can usually be spotted holding court at the bar of his restaurant
Ziggie & Mad Dog's in Islamorada. Jim, along with his wife Bonnie are involved
with several charities throughout the local community, one of which is Shake-a-Leg.
This is where the Mad Dog Mandich Fishing Classic will donate a portion of the
tournaments proceeds to benefit and help to grow this worthwhile project.
